How to use the meditations
1. Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
2. Read through the whole meditation a few times, then put it down.
3. Sit in a position both comfortable and alert.
4. Allow the meditation 10 minutes or so in your imagination. Do not give up before this time; stay with it.
5. Allow another 10 minutes for recording what happened. Allow events to develop as you record. |

MEDITATION 36
DREAMING THE DREAM
You know what people say:
"You have to have a dream! Or what is there to live for? And know what it is, of course! Because if you don't know what it is, how will you know when you get there?!"
But then they also say:
"Be careful what you dream of. Because it might be given to you, and turn out not to be as good as imagined which can be a serious blow."
Part of life's adventure is discovering what we want; because until we're given it, we don't know; until then, we really haven't a clue.
Escapists dream themselves forward; anything to get out of the present. "It will work out well in the end!"
The depressed don't dare to dream: "It won't work out, because nothing does. Why set myself up for more disappointment?"
Though sometimes dreams flash through us like energising light; or lift us three feet off the ground in hope.
So what's yours?
Imagine
Imagine you are struggling through a wood.
It's not easy going.
You have been told there is a clearing ahead.
Do you believe them?
And suddenly there is your dream.
What does it look like? What you expected?
How do you react?
