the one minute mystic
How to use the meditations

1. Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.

2. Read through the whole meditation a few times, then put it down.

3. Sit in a position both comfortable and alert.

4. Allow the meditation 10 minutes or so in your imagination. Do not give up before this time; stay with it.

5. Allow another 10 minutes for recording what happened. Allow events to develop as you record.
  MEDITATION 7
A GOOD SPACE

For anything good to happen, we need to create space.

Whether we are launching a rocket, wanting to play football or receiving a new sofa, we need to create space for the event.

As the new day beckons, we need also to create inner space; space into which we can invite others.

Clutter on the motorway can have terrible outcomes; emotional clutter within us can have similar results.

We punish the wrong people for the wrong things.

So we allow our breathing to settle...

Imagine

You are standing in a clearing in a wood.

It is your clearing; the one into which you invite others sometimes.

This is your inner space.

How do you feel about it?

How does it look today? How clear is it?

If people were to come, is there anything stopping them?

Sometimes clearings get overgrown; or dominated by things.

Is this a space that could handle anybody? Or only particular people?

You consider your clearing in the wood.

It can be a lovely clearing if looked after; a good space.
